Fundraiser Ideas for Moon Bounce

Friday, June 3rd, 2011

Have you recently been put in charge of your company, school, organization or club’s next fundraiser, but you just can’t come up with a clever idea? Well look no further. KidFlatables has the answer; book a moon bounce.

Before you go laughing at the thought of a moon bounce as a serious fundraiser, checkout these ideas from eHow.com.

Moon bounces commonly appear at amusement parks, carnivals and fairs, but it is also possible for individuals or organizations to rent one of these inflatable fun houses for any event. That is where KidFlatables comes in. You rent the moon bounce from us and then you can turn around and throw the fundraiser to end all fundraisers.

So break away from the boring chocolate sales or raffles and take a look at some of these ideas:

Sell Bounce Time

One of the easiest ways to raise funds with a moon bounce is to rent the structure and sell playtime. All you have to do is set up the structure and have a few attendants sell tickets and monitor play activity. To avoid injury, only allow children to use the moon bounce or sell tickets for time slots that you designate for certain age groups. This type of fundraiser can supplement activities like fun fairs and festivals. If your community has a play center business with a moon bounce, you could reserve the facility for an evening and arrange it with the owners to earn a percentage of the profit for that night.

Moon Bounce Marathon

A moon bounce marathon could raise money for your organization. Participants agree to bounce for a certain period of time designated by the group, usually a few hours. Participants ask family and community members to sponsor them in the marathon by making a pledge. The pledge can be for a flat amount or a certain amount for each hour that a participant bounces. There are weight limits for moon bounces, usually about 600 lbs., so you will be limited in the number of participants or have to rent numerous structures to accommodate all your participants. Bouncing is excellent physical activity, but you may wish to work in teams so that participants can get a break from bouncing.

Balls in a Basket

This fundraiser idea is a fun way for kids to get adults physically involved in a moon bounce fundraiser. Find community members or parents willing to pay an undetermined amount of money to your cause. First, you will have to be sure that adult and children who participate fall within the weight limit of your moon bounce. Each adult participant will stand in the center of the moon bounce with a basket full of about 20 soft foam balls. Each ball has a dollar amount from $1.00 to $10.00 written on the side with permanent markers. Children will bounce around the house to try to get the adult to spill balls out of the basket. You should set a time limit of about one minute. When the minute is up, you gather the balls that have fallen out of the basket and add up the dollar amounts. This is the amount that each adult must pay in the fundraiser.

Kidflaftables also offers face painting, cheek art, balloon twisting and games and prizes for the kids. Book your rental today! If you have any questions, contact Kidflatables by calling 410-205-KIDS.
